Sven:                Hollow everybody…I am Sven Schultz and this is my Pastor partner “Pecks” Pegorsch.

Pecks:              That’s Right, that’s who we are.

Sven:                And as your spiritual leaders, we are daily praying that the Holy Spirit will…

Both:                “Pump You Up” (Showing waist level muscle pose)

Pecks:              Yah!  That’s who we are.

Sven:                As your Pastors, we coach you toward a better relationship with your God.

Pecks:              That’s right, each week we give you proper nourishment for your faith – I guess you’d call it “Soul Food!!”

Sven:                Yah, that would be true, Pecks!  At church and Bible study we offer soul food so that you don’t become “flabby” in your faith.

Pecks:              No…we want you to be (take a muscle pose) Strong in your faith!

Sven:                But that’s not all Pecks.

Pecks:              No not all!!

Sven:                God also wants you to be strong and healthy in your body, too.

Pecks:              That be true, Sven.  We need to take care of our physical bodies, too.

Sven:                That’s why we are here today.  As your Pastor Partners, we want God to...

Both:                “Pump You Up!”  (Showing waist level muscle pose)

Sven:                 God wants us to take care of what He has given us.  A healthy body gives praise to God.

Pecks:              That’s right.  After all, we are the “temple of God.”

(In comes three “temples.”  The first is smoking and coughing and bent over.
The second is grossly overweight, eating and carries a remote control.
The third person is drinking heavily and walks poorly.)

Sven:                Check these out.  Are these good examples of a “temple of God?”  Do they give glory to God?

Pecks:              Yuk!  No way!

Sven:                These people need to re-build their temples.

Pecks:              Let’s get these people into shape.

(Begins doing jumping jacks while Sven acts as a Sergeant paroling the recruits.)  Come on…move those legs!

Sven:                All right everybody, seven times around church building…we’re gonna knock some walls down!!

P#1:                 This exercise stuff isn’t bad at all.  Wow, I’m feeling better already.

P#3:                 Me, too!  Now, I’m going to be spiritually and physically in shape.  We’re getting…

Both:                “Pumped up!” (laugh and run out of church)

(Person#2 is showing signs of being exhausted and tired.  The person bends over and begins to speak…)

P#2:                 I can’t do it!  I feel like I want to die.  (Falls to knees.)

Pecks:              No No No No!  Get up, get up!!  Get that flab a bouncin’!  We want to be in ship shape!  Don’t we?

P#2:                 I just don’t want to.  I thought God loved me just the way I am.  It shouldn’t matter how I keep my body.  It’s my body anyway!!

Sven:                Oh Oh!!  He has a muscle masher!!!  An unholy attitude!!  What a downer!!

Pecks:              Looks like this one will need some “Vitamin Verses” quick.

(For each verse, a person carries a circle “pill” with the verse named on it.  They surround person#2)

Sven:                Yes, “The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak” (Matthew 26:41)

Pecks:              “Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit…you were bought with a price.  Therefore honor God with your body.” (1 Cor. 6:19)

Sven:                No one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church – for we are members of His body” (Eph. 5:30)

Pecks:              I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body.” (Philippians 1:20)

Sven:                “Therefore, I urge you…in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship.” (Romans 12:1)

(Person #2 is gradually regaining strength from the scriptures and begins to stand.)

P#2:                 Wow!  Those are some pills.  They really pack a punch.

Pecks:              Yeah!  God’s word is powerful!

P#2:                 But, I just don’t think I can do it by myself.

Sven:                By yourself?  Did you hear that Pecks?

Pecks:              Yah I did.

Sven:                Oh you silly person.  Your not by yourself.  The Holy Spirit will be your personal “body Buildin’ trainer.”  Ask for His special attention workout plan in prayer.  He will give you the strength to keep on pumpin’!

P#2:                 You know, you’re right.  With God, I can do it.  I do want to take care of myself.  God anymore of those “Vitamin verses?”

Sven:                No problem – here’s a lifetime supply.  (Hands person #2 a Bible.)

P#2:                 Thanks! I’m gonna start right now… (Runs out of the church.)

Sven:                Good man!!

Pecks:              No, No!  Good God!!!

Sven:                Ha Ha Ha Ha!  That’s so true!!  Well its time for us to be going.  Until next week…this is your Pastor Partners Sven Schultz…

Pecks:              and Pecks Pegorsch

Sven:                Reminding you that a healthy body leads to our church’s healthy body!!!  Keep the faith and with God’s help, we’ll be back next Sunday to …

Both:                “Pump you up!”
